BS: How did you come up with the band name Vicious?

Vicious: I really like Cowboy Bebop and the Sex Pistols. Also, I was/am an angry person. 🙂

BS: How would you best describe the music you make and goal as a band?

Vicious: Kick your teeth in, bold, passionate, fuck you kind of music. Yeah. thats a pretty good description. As far as goals go, our real goal is freedom. Freedom to be who we are artistically, and to ultimately build a brand that can stand alone and we can all support ourselves financially via that brand.

BS: What do you feel it is about your band that people relate to?

Vicious: I hope its that its both raw, yet some how polished. Angry as fuck rock and roll, with a strong pop sensibility with honest and relatable lyrics.

BS: You recently released the video for your song, “Everything Sucks”. What is the message behind that song?

Vicious: A lot of this song is just a combination of stuff. First and foremost, “Live and Die by pain” is the hook, and unfortunately that’s how I’ve lived most of my life; I always have to learn the hard way for the most part. Other things touch on how things are going in other aspect of our lives as a band  we keep killing ourselves, bleeding to keep making music a part of our lives. It’s some kind of obsessive sickness I swear.

BS: What type of responses have you received from fans on it?

Vicious: Nothing but love thankfully.

BS: The song is great and the video looks like you guys had fun making it. What was the creation of that video like for you?

Vicious: About 20 hours of working in an attic that was 90 some odd degrees lol. I’d do it all over again. It’s easy to put in that kind of time for something you love. Love the process, as they say.

BS: There was a lot of energy in the performance on the video. Is that similar to the type of energy you get to bring to the stage?

Vicious: Hell yeah. I’d like to think its similar energy, only better at shows. I love the feeling of having something to prove and earning peoples respect, I feed off that energy from the crowd and I think the rest of the band does too.

BS: What could someone expect from a Vicious show that hasnt seen you before?

Vicious: They can expect to leave with the impression that we are the real deal. hard working, and thankful for any support. A fucking solid as fuck live performance.

BS: Where can people see any possible upcoming dates?

Vicious: Facebook yaaaalllll

BS: What is the best way for fans to reach out to you?

Vicious: We are all up in all our social media outlets. I’d say Instagram and Twitter would be the best though 🙂

BS: Anything else you’d like to add?

Vicious: Just really thankful and appreciative for everyone that gives a fuck about us and is backing this brand new band so hard, we’ll never forget it and it means the world to us. Also, we can’t wait to get out on the road and make more friendships and memories. It’s going to be a wild ride.
