Blacktop Mojo

Blacktop Mojo’s new album Under The Sun will be releasing on this Friday, Sept. 13, and what an album it is! This is the second album we have reviewed for Blacktop Mojo and the second perfect score we’re giving them. I’ve listened to the album many times now and each time something new jumps out to me. I’ll discover a cool new groove, or a vocal note that is just perfect. I love all of the solos throughout the album too; we need more of that in today’s music. I can’t recommend this band enough to people. Grab this album right when it comes out and check out our favorite tracks below!

Hoodie Allen

One of the things I love about Hoodie Allen is that while each album is different it still feels like Hoodie. I have been a fan since Pep Rally, and haven’t heard a release that seemed like it wasn’t Hoodie anymore. This album features tracks ranging from ego driven, tongue in cheek songs to heartfelt self-reflective tunes. I do love me a good self-reflection song. This album has a healthy mix of his rap stylings, and the increase in singing that has been seen on the past few albums. You can go snag this one now, as it’s already on shelves!

Sleeping With Sirens

When I heard the first single “Leave It All Behind”, I was excited to hear Sleeping With Sirens again. The past couple of albums weren’t really my thing, but I had a great feeling about this one. After listening to the album a bunch of times I can confirm I was right to be excited. This album is great! It’s not quite the style of earlier Sleeping With Sirens, but it’s a big step in that direction. I really enjoy this album. It has a great mix of heavier songs, smooth ones, and a lot of heart. If you’ve ever been a fan of the band, this album is a must pick up! It’s available now, so don’t wait!
